LightningEV is Now a Corporate member of The Australian Electric Vehicle Ascociation, founded in 1973. Our Manager, Robert James is the Chairperson for the Newly formed Local Branch, Electric Vehicles New England. Founded in Sep 09. 

LightningEV is entering the Electric vehicle Design, construction, modification, and sale of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles.

LightningEV's Showpiece is a prototype originally designed for the Automotive X-prize, a $10,000,000 event of which it is a true contender. The EV3 is designed to transport 2 people a range greater than 160km at highway speeds. It is also capable of more than 160km/h and will get there with breathtaking performance to match the likes of most modern sport cars. The EV3 is exotic in Design and will appeal to those with deep pockets, and a sense of uniqueness. The EV3 has been designed to meet and exceed the Australian Design Rules, It will attract attention even if parked beside a Ferrari.


To put it bluntly LightningEV intends to create the market. As the mother of invention is necessity. The necessity IS there, Australia just doesn't know it yet.
